Mini egg challenge

Recently I've been shopping more often at Aldi my partner is certain it saves us money but I'm not convinced yet although I have been impressed with some products.

This week I saw mini eggs on the shelf and with Easter fast approaching I decided to grab a packet. They were only £0.59 so I decided to get a packet to do a taste test.

I bought a pack of regular Cadburys mini eggs which were £1.00 & blind tested the family.

All four of us did prefer the Cadburys mini eggs but the Aldi version were OK & £0.41 cheaper which is a large saving.

Have you tried the Aldi version? What was your verdict?

  2. I've swapped a lot of things I normally buy for the Aldi range and it isn't too bad. Their bread is really good, the curry sauces with the spices are fab and the naan bread you wouldn't know any different. I've noticed they've started putting proper dates on their fruit and veg as well which makes a big difference.

I'll need to try these out though to see for myself :)

  3. I find with Aldi some of there stuff is awesome and some of it disappointing. I think you would have to do a lot to take me away from the Cadbury ones though!

    1. Definitely a good buy for the price but I'm a Cadburys girl. Would def be good for crispy cake toppers with kids.
