The big red bath was the first book my daughter came home from nursery with & became a firm favourite. All three are good and both children loved them.
We've had these books for about 4 years. I think they were from The Works. Although they are for girls my son lives the stories just as much. They include all the traditional stories like princess & the pea (my daughters favourite), cinderella, the gingerbread man, Jack & the beanstalk etc.
These are my sons current favourite & they are really good. I read them to him at the moment but I'm hoping he'll reread them in a year or 2.
These Daisy books got my daughter reading alone fluently. She loved them & I'd often hear her giggling along. I've read a few with her & they are lovely well written books.
My daughter who's 9 soon is now reading these & loves Jaqueline Wilson. I must admit I haven't read any but she now has 13 so they must be good.
My children have now moved onto Worst Witch series & Holly Webb and Frankies Magic Football by Frank Lampard. I've read a couple of the football books & I'm not too keen but my son likes them & that's the main thing.
What books so your children read/have loved?
